Hey everyone,
I recently bought a license so I could export ALAC via Adobe Audition > Export with Adobe Media Encoder (AME) > Media Encoder-Format: Voukoder Pro.
By itself, Voukoder Pro is able to handle it. I confirmed it works in AME after some initial setup.
Where it fails is the handover from Adobe Audition to AME:
No matter which scenes, routing or presets I set (tried all combinations in those 3 apps), the routing option remains locked to "VideoOnly". ![]()
I was able to export mute videos that way, but it won't export audio at all.
Am I missing something or has the Audition > Media Encoder workflow not been implemented by the developers in full?
Edit: After some troubleshooting by uninstalling and reinstalling Voukoder several times with different plugins, I see that it's primarily the Adobe Premiere Plugin (VoukoderPro.prm) that adds the "Voukoder Pro"-Media Encoder format. Would be interesting to know whether those common .prm-plugins are by itself video only or it's a configuration within the code that the devs have set.
Voukoder Won’t Pass Audio from Adobe Audition to Adobe Media Encoder

The reason might be that currently Voukoder Pro has been developed and tested with Premiere, After Effects and Media Encoder. I have to check how much effort it is to support audition as well.
What Audio format are you exporting from Audition, btw? Can you try "Float, 32 Bit"?

I am trying to export in ALAC. Because Audition does not support it natively, I am trying to use Voukoder Pro as a workaround.
It's via the menu within Adobe Audition:
File > Export > Export with Adobe Media Encoder > Voukoder Pro: Media Encoder format
This should have worked but some tag, registry key or configuration restricts the handover from Audition to Media Encoder to video only when using the "Voukoder Pro" format with no way to change it (the button to do so is greyed out).
There are many formats you can set in which you want to "Export with Adobe Media Encoder" from Adobe Audition, but none that are ALAC except when you do it with Voukoder Pro.
Usually, the routing option is for all the other formats: (Standard) Mix with an option to change it:
My point is there is a misconfiguration somewhere in the plugin.
"Can you try "Float, 32 Bit"?"
The multi-track sessions are by default 48000 Hz - 32-Bit Mix in Audition:
Also, probably not what you mean but I changed the scene to 32 Bit just to make sure:
Encoder preset is also configured to "Export Audio" only but it still doesn't work.
No idea what else to try. -

Sees that I basically need to take care that it also supports "Video und Audio" as Weiterleitungsoptionen.
Edit: Was ist wenn Du nach Adobe Premiere exportierst? Funktioniert das eventuell besser?
