Issue description:
I'm using Premiere Pro 2025 along with Media Encoder and Voukoder to export videos. Regardless of which encoder I select (NVIDIA NVENC or H.264), or which audio codec I use (AAC or PCM), videos exported through Voukoder consistently have the following issues:
The video plays correctly in PotPlayer
However, most other players (such as Chrome, VLC, and mobile apps) either:
Show a black screen with audio only, or
Fail to open the video entirely
For reference, my export settings are:
Encoder: NVIDIA H.264 (default settings)
Audio: AAC
Format: MP4 with +faststart enabled
When I export using AfterCode or Adobe Media Encoder’s native H.264 exporter, the resulting file works perfectly across all players.
Suspected cause:
I believe this might be related to:
Voukoder failing to properly wrap/mux the file when using In/Out points in Media Encoder, or
A compatibility issue with Premiere Pro 2025's new timecode/segment handling
For example, my original sequence is 50 minutes long, but I set In/Out points in ME to export only a 23-minute segment.
The exported video plays as expected in PotPlayer (23 min), but Windows Explorer and other tools report the video duration as 50 minutes, and most players either:
Show only black screen + audio, or fail to play the video at all
"The issue seems to occur as long as the in-point is not set to the first frame of the sequence."
Could you please confirm if this is a known issue or if there's any suggested fix?
Thank you very much in advance!
