Actually, even using this method it does not work. Since I have several presets, it simply defaults back to my last preset configuration.
Too bad about the copy paste, but yes I can understand why after your explanation. That screenshot looks very cool, quite similar to what I was asking for. Can't wait for 2.0 =)
Fair enough, I will wait patiently. I read other posts about the non-existent AE support (as of now), but I assumed since Media Encoder currently works, that it would too even from AE. I guess there's still a lot of kinks to work out.
I did have bitrate settings in there, but as I said the update wasn't being pushed. I personally find this feature highly helpful, even if it isn't 100% accurate, because it tells me a good ballpark. And from that ballpark, I can determine if I want to use those settings or not in the final render.
Here's a screenshot, unsure of what exactly is going on here. It was going very slowly, barely using my GPU at all (~1%). Encodersessions is not providing that much information.
This is during a render, NVIDIA NVENC h264
What's the next step?
Thanks for the format. Will do my best to follow the guidelines.
For more advanced users, a section where you can input raw code or ffmpeg parameters into Voukoder would be preferred. This is especially useful for parameters that are unwanted, or you do not want to render with that are enabled by default, or active by default.
I notice that you have a section like this that tells you the commands being used inside the GUI, but it's read only.
You should create a "Reset to Default" button or preset that resets Voukoder back to it's default configuration settings. Currently, it's impossible, as far as I know, to do this unless you delete all your presets (which is rather annoying).
I don't think any screenshots are needed for this request, let me know if any other details are needed.
After choosing the initial preset that you have saved from the presets list, if you make further configuration changes, it does NOT update the estimated file size. This only happens 1 time, when you choose the preset, but it does not push any updates after changes are made.
For Example: Preset: Medium (Estimated 43 MB) Changed To ---> Preset Loseless ) (Still 43 MB)
If you need any other details, I will provide.
P.S. Since you ask for voukoder.log files in your bug reports, you might want to allow .log file upload attachments on your forums. Currently the file type gets rejected, but .log files should be relatively safe for forum attachments in terms of security.
Here's my workflow:
After Effects --> Media Encoder --> Voukoder [NVIDIA NVENC H.264] = No GPU Acceleration
What am I doing wrong? I have the latest version (1.0.0).
Good work on the 1.0 version release. Awesome!
Somebody get this guy a medal! Voukoder is one of the best plugins for Adobe that I've ever seen.
The built-in encoders and parameters for Adobe are trash. FFMPEG is king, and Voukoder brings it to Adobe!!
Thanks friend, you are the best. Keep up the good work!
