I am trying to encode a video of pinball footage. There is a lot of flashing lights and the HEVC encoder kind of struggle with that. Every time one of the big lights of the pinball goes from black to light and back to black the resulting video is quite blurry around the light. This is actually distracting. This is not the case on the original material.
I tried to encode with CRF 22 and CQP 22. Both with the "Slow" preset. I also tried the "Grain" tuning option. In all cases the problem happens.
Would someone have a suggestion about this ?
